In this design-oriented space, we investigate how food shapes the environment and constructs socio-cultural landscapes.

Applying design thinking, we explore possible solutions for food needs and their related cultural and economic context. Ultimately, we aim to develop design solutions that increase access to healthy food for all parts of the global community.

We are dedicated to a sustainable future.

Garden City Lands – KPU Farm
The KPU Research and Teaching Farm located on the Garden City Lands in Richmond has been having some issues with ‘grazers’ (thieves), stealing vegetables from the farm. Our team has been tasked to redesign the space to build awareness, community involvement and to deter theft from taking place. By programming the space with structures, signage and interactive elements, we look to guide passersby around the edge of the farm to protect this valuable teaching farm and the crops they produce. Below are some concept renderings that may be proposed.
